My 24/7 Life💪🏼

If you know me, you’ll know there are two things I love deeply: bodybuilding and running the salon, and I love them both equally. People ask me all the time, “Are you taking a break now?” and it makes me laugh… I don’t take breaks! Bodybuilding isn’t something I dip in and out of; it’s a lifestyle choice.

Every day is structured around training, nutrition, recovery, and mindset. Even rest is part of the plan. I’ve been following a food plan for nine years now and eat pretty much the same every day… and no, I don’t get bored! (It’s one less thing to think about.) I’m always working towards a goal; I love the routine and the sense of achievement I get from completing all my tasks. Every day has a purpose, and that’s what drives me.

I’m always working towards something – not just in the gym but in life and business too. It all feeds into each other, and I love the balance it brings me.

Why I Train at 5am 🌅
People often say to me, “You’re so disciplined” or “How do you stay so committed?” But I don’t have to do it. I choose to. That’s the difference so it’s not a sacrifice.

Most mornings I’m up between 4 and 5am (yes, even on Sundays!) and I train twice before I start work. One cardio session and one weights session, six days a week. I structure my days to make space for both my passions, and that early start means I can be fully present in the salon once the door opens.

This year, I’m in a long “improvement phase”. That means focusing on building muscle, improving my physique, and gaining confidence for my stage confidence, which is my weakest area and not something that comes naturally. It’s terrifying as you can imagine! When will I compete next? Well I won’t be on stage this year, instead I’ll be preparing for my next competition, which will be in early 2026. This time off stage is where the real work happens and is more important than the shows, and I’m loving it.

How long will I do it for? I will continue to compete for as long as I feel motivated and love it as much as I do. I feel the last few years of competing were merely laying the foundation for what’s to come…

What I Eat 🥗
I often get asked about my diet so here’s a little peek into what I eat on a typical day. I have six meals a day (including snacks), and calories range from 1450 when I’m dieting to 3000 when I’m in a growth phase.
Breakfast:
– Eggs or turkey bacon with 2 mini tortilla wraps
– Or porridge with protein powder, blueberries & 85% dark chocolate
Snacks (throughout the day)
– Greek yogurt with protein & blueberries
– More porridge (yes, I love it!)
– 85% dark chocolate
– Chicken
Lunch:
– Chicken salad with sweet potato
Dinner:
– Chicken, veg, and 2 mini tortilla wraps
I keep it simple, I enjoy what I eat, and it fuels me to keep going – in and out of the gym!

Relax & rebalance 🌿
At Icon, we believe self-care is more than skin deep – it’s about supporting your whole self. We’re excited to introduce a gorgeous new massage and facial combo from Camilla, designed to leave you feeling totally refreshed, and also shine a light on Alice, whose deeply intuitive massage treatments are a beautiful way to release tension and reconnect with yourself.

A brand new treatment!✨
Introducing our back, neck and shoulder massage, with a holistic mini facial
Camilla has created a gorgeous new treatment that combines two of the most soothing services we offer – a 30-minute tension-releasing back massage with a 25-minute nourishing Neal’s Yard mini facial.

The treatment starts with a short consultation so everything is tailored to you, then you’ll enjoy a deeply relaxing back, neck, and shoulder massage to melt away tightness and stress. Next comes the facial, using the beautiful Neal’s Yard Remedies range, rich in natural, skin-loving ingredients and suitable for all skin types. Camilla finishes with a gentle scalp and neck massage to leave you feeling refreshed, radiant, and totally at peace.

This is the ultimate treat-yourself treatment! We think you’re going to love it.

Signing off
As always, thank you so much for supporting us, it means the world. We’ve had a little taste of summer (how good was that sunshine last week?!) and while it’s gone a bit grey again, I’ve got everything crossed it makes a proper return soon. Things are getting lovely and busy at the salon, so do try and book in advance if you can, we always want to make sure we’ve got space to look after you when you need it most. See you soon.

Lots of love,
Lucy x
