It’s Our 11th Birthday!
If you had told us a year ago how 2020 was going to shape up, we would never have believed you. But despite everything that has been thrown at us, we’ve defied the odds and this month we’re celebrating our 11th birthday. We are back to our full-strength team and excited to be moving into decade number two!

As has everyone else, we’ve had to adapt and adjust to the situation we are in, but we are feeling positive about the future. Thanks to your patience, flexibility, and unbelievable support, we’ve been able to navigate our way through these everchanging times and we’ve never appreciated our clients and neighbouring businesses more.

The last 11 years have certainly been an adventure and we wouldn’t have missed it for anything! We may not have been able to have a party this year, but the celebration next year (and for years to come) will be worth the wait!

Great Promotions
This month we have been offering a huge 25% off all Dermalogica products. It’s been a really popular offer as we very rarely discount this much. If you have not been in yet, there’s still a little bit of time left to take advantage of the opportunity – pop into the salon by 30th September and stock up with all your favourites! Going Greener
The last few months have been challenging that is for sure, but they’ve certainly not been all negative. A real positive that has come out of the current situation has been an opportunity for us to reflect and reassess how we do things. One thing that has emerged is our desire to become a greener business. This has been something we have been working towards for a while, but it’s become clear to us that it is now a necessity, rather than a possibility.

We’re currently looking at different ways we can achieve this and would very much like to involve you in the process. When it comes to the environment and local sustainability, what is most important to you? Please let us know!

Amongst other things, we’re currently looking at stocking more locally sourced, natural, organic and vegan friendly products and have various other plans in the pipeline. If there are any green initiatives you would like to see the salon adopt, we’d love to hear them. We know the process won’t happen overnight but by listening to your ideas and working together we know we can get closer to our end goal.

Sad Farewell
We have some sad news this month. Our wonderful Catherine Amesbury, who many of you know and love, has come to the difficult decision that she has no option but to close her electrolysis practice. Her daughter Carrie is extremely vulnerable and in the current climate it is too unsafe for her to work on the faces of clients (who due to the nature of their treatments) are unable to wear face masks.

After 40 years in practice, Catherine is devastated to be leaving behind her work which she so greatly values. We know how much she will miss her clients, many of whom have become good friends and we will miss her here enormously too.

Catherine you were a brilliant part of our team. You were always so warm and caring, a joy to be around and we will miss your positivity and brilliant sense of humour. We know how much your family needs you though and would like to send you all our love. We will look forward to keeping in touch with you and following the development of your beautiful jewellery website.
