Happy Mother’s Day!
Finally!
The sun is actually showing up! Spring flowers are everywhere, the light is back, and it feels like the whole vibe has shifted. After the winter we’ve had, it feels soooo good. The clocks go forward on the 29th and we are READY. More light, longer evenings, and all the good things that come with it, bring it on I say!
This month’s newsletter has a mix of what’s been going on in the salon, a little update from me, and a few things worth sharing. I hope you enjoy it!
International Women’s Day
It’s International Women’s Day on Sunday, and it feels like a fitting moment to celebrate the women who inspire us. In the salon, we’re so lucky. We’re surrounded by lovely women every single day, hearing our stories, our challenges, and our wins.
A woman who really inspires me right now is Jillian Turecki. She’s a relationship coach, teacher, and New York Times bestselling author. I listen to her podcast regularly and have read her books, and her knowledge and insight into human behaviour and relationships is just incredible. A woman well worth following.
And with Mother’s Day just around the corner, it feels like the right moment to celebrate another woman who means the world to me.
Mother’s Day this year
It’s a day that always makes me think about my mum. She’s someone who genuinely inspires me every single day. Her bravery to travel across the world on her own, her zest for life, her energy and determination, I think she passed those on to me! Her kindness is truly unbelievable. She will always go out of her way for anyone, selfless to her core, always putting everyone else’s needs before her own. I love her bohemian style, and she is one of the most compassionate, nurturing, warm-hearted souls I’ve ever known, beautiful inside and out. Happy Mother’s Day, Mum.
And if you’re looking for a way to treat the special women in your life this Mother’s Day, we’ve got you covered.
Mother’s Day gift
With Mother’s Day on Sunday 15th March, sometimes the best gift is giving Mum proper time to switch off and be looked after. Our gift vouchers work for any treatment in the salon, whether that’s beautiful nails, a relaxing massage, or a pedicure that actually gets finished without interruption!
They’re valid for a whole year and can be for any amount, so whoever you’re treating can choose exactly what they need. You can buy them online, call us, or drop into the salon.
What we’re excited about!
We’ve recently added the Korean Lash Lift to our treatment menu, and honestly, the team are obsessed. What sets it apart from a traditional lash lift is the focus on lash health. It uses gentle, cysteamine-based solutions rather than harsher perm formulas, so your lashes come out lifted and hydrated, not brittle. The technique works root to tip and is tailored to your eye shape, giving a natural-looking curl that lasts six to eight weeks. No extensions, no daily curler, just your own lashes looking their best!
If you’ve ever wanted to wake up with your brows already done, brow lamination is the treatment we recommend most to clients who haven’t tried it yet. We restructure the brow hairs to sit in a uniform direction, which instantly makes them look fuller, fluffier, and more defined. It’s genuinely transformative even on sparse or flat brows. After lamination, we map the shape to your face, apply a bespoke tint, and tidy everything up with waxing and tweezing, so you leave with a completely finished brow.
If either of these treatments has caught your eye, we’d love to help. Mention this newsletter when you book and you’ll receive 10% off your Korean Lash Lift or Brow Lamination. Just drop us a message or ask at your next appointment and we’ll chat through what works best for you.
Until next time…
Thank you so much for reading, it genuinely means a lot to me. March already feels lighter and brighter, and with Easter coming up next month, there’s a lovely feeling of something to look forward to. We’ll be back in April with the next newsletter. Until then, enjoy the longer evenings and be kind to yourself.
Lots of love, Lucy x
